  1. Soak the rice and black gram in water for atleast 6 hours. Then make a paste of it. The consistency of the paste should be not so runny or so hard. It is such that we can take it in hands and make the dumplings easily. Then keep the paste in a warm place for 8 hours to forment.
  2. Now add salt and carrom seeds to the batter. Add a 1/4tsp of baking powder to it.
  3. Heat the oil. Make small dumplings out of it and fry till crispy and golden brown.
  4. For the chutney take tamarind pulp add crushed garlic and green chilli to it. Add salt, black salt and water. And it's ready. Enjoy the dumplings with the chutney.

Grind these to make a little harder batter. Harder batter can be easily shaped with hand and slight water. Mix the salt and soda properly. Heat the oil in a fry pan. Gently shape the batter to round shape and deep fry to get color as in picture.
