I have found that fruits like bananas, apples and grapes taste best in the custard. Oranges, pomegranate, pineapple, pears, cherries, strawberries and mangoes are also great additions. Fruit Custard tastes best when it is cooked and served chill. A simple custard is just with fruits.

Instructions to make Custard Fruit & Cake Trifle:
  1. ●Step 1》Beat eggs till fluffy, then add sugar and beat till the mixture double in volume.
  2. ●Step 2》Sift flour and green colour, fold in to the mixture, make sure there is no lumbs in the better, pour it in cake tin and bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 180°.
  3. ●Step 3》when cake baked, let it cool. Make custard, bring to boil Milk with sugar, when it's boiled, turn off flame, add ½ cup water or milk in vanilla custard mix and pour in boiled milk. Stir continuously. Custard is ready.
  4. ●Step 4》Cut Apples and bananas. Add then in custard and mix.
  5. ●Step 5》In a large bowl, set the first custard layer, then cake layer(if your custard is too thick, then soak cake with sugar syrup, if thin then it's ok) repeat it with custard and cake layer. Start with custard and finished it with custard layer. Set grapes on top and decorate with whipped cream. Sprinkle some coloured sprinkles. Place it in fridge and enjoy chilled.

Fruit Custard tastes best when it is cooked and served chill. A simple custard is just with fruits. But you can make is more filling and flavorful by adding nuts like almonds, cashews. You can also add chocolate chips or tutti frutti, coconut flakes. You can also flavor it with cardamom powder and rose water (I have done that).
