  13. Prepare 12 Quail eggs (optional)
  14. Get 1 pc Tempe (optional) - I would definitely use it though
  15. Make ready 2 carrots (optional) - thinly slice 3 cm long

Sayur lodeh is an Indonesian vegetable soup prepared from vegetables in coconut milk popular in Indonesia, but most often associated with Javanese cuisine.   1. Blend in food processor: chillies, garlic, onion, candlenuts. Put aside.
  2. Cut Tempe into rectangular shape. Lightly fry them and put aside.
  3. Quail eggs, hard boiled and peeled. Put aside.
  4. Sauté blended spice plus lemongrass, galangal, bay leaves until fragrant.
  5. Add prawns (if using) and cook.
  6. Add coconut cream, chicken stock, coconut cream. Add 1.5 L of water. Cook until bubbly.
  7. Put into the pot chokoes, carrots, quail eggs, tempe and cook until chokoes are soft.
  8. Season with salt. Serve on top of rice cake (lontong) with chicken curry, and prawn crackers…
