Before you make the dumpling batter, combine the water, sugar, butter and cinnamon stick in a large saucepan/pan over medium heat. In a large bowl, whisk the sugar and melted butter, then add the eggs and beat until smooth and creamy, Sift in the flour; Add the water and mix well.
