Sweet dumplings is one of the most favored of current trending meals in the world. It is appreciated by millions every day. It’s simple, it is fast, it tastes delicious. They’re fine and they look wonderful. Sweet dumplings is something which I’ve loved my whole life.

The result is like a moist sweet bread with a gently caramelized underside. The name stems from "dampf" meaning "steam", and "nudel" which typically means "noodle". In a large skillet, heat the butter, brown sugar and water to boiling. Meanwhile, combine the dumpling ingredients; add apple if desired.

  1. Make ready 2 cups all purpose flour

  7. Take 2 tbsp cooking oil +1/2L for deep frying

  9. Prepare FOR THE SYRUP: 1 cup water and 1cup sugar

Slice sweet potato rounds in half and sprinkle with spice of your choice. I used cinnamon since that is my favorite spice with sweet potatoes. Fold biscuit over and seal edge like a fried pie or turnover. Indian modak are sweet dumplings made with rice flour and filled with coconut and unrefined cane sugar.

Steps to make Sweet dumplings:
  1. In a bowl combine all the dry ingredients,flour, sugar,salt, coconut powder whisk and keep aside.
  2. In a separate bowl add the yogurt, yeast, oil, and some water whisk and keep aside for a while to double in size.
  3. Combine the yeast mixture into the flour mixture. Whisk until the batter is well combined and smooth. Keep it aside for 2 hrs to double in size.
  4. After two hours mix the batter again.Heat the oil in a medium heat then deep fry the kaimatis until golden brown on both sides.(the oil should not be very hot). Let it cool for a while.
  5. To prepare the syrup add I cup of water and sugar in a sufuria let it come to a boil for at least 10 mins or until the syrup is sticky.
  6. Put the kaimatis in a bowl then pour the syrup on the kaimatis mix well until the kaimatis are dry. Let it cool ready to serve with hot ginger tea.
