  7. Every now and then use a fork to stir the lentils. Once the lentils have cooked, turn heat off.
  8. Add in the cilantro and stir to mix.
  9. Allow to cool before serving with a mint sour cream/yoghurt sauce

Place the lentils in a medium saucepan with the water and bay leaf. Cut the onion in half, and add one half to the pot along with the crushed.
