French Toast is one of the most favored of recent trending meals in the world. It is appreciated by millions daily. It is simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. They are nice and they look fantastic. French Toast is something which I’ve loved my whole life.

The ingredients needed to make French Toast:
  1. Make ready 8 slices bread of your choice best stale
  2. Take 2 large free range eggs
  3. Prepare 150 ml whole milk
  4. Make ready 1 tbsp caster sugar
  5. Get 250 grams raspberries
  6. Prepare (To taste you may need more or less depending on your sweet tooth)
  7. Get 1 tsp vanilla extract
  8. Prepare 3 tbs raspberry jam
  9. Prepare Icing sugar to serve
  10. Prepare Optional double cream
  11. Take Knob butter
  12. Prepare 60 grams caster sugar

If using commercially produced brioche, be sure to allow bread to become slightly stale for best results. Stir in sugar, vanilla, orange juice, and salt until well combined.

Instructions to make French Toast:
  1. Using a small saucepan add the 60 grams of caster sugar with the raspberries and sugar into it. On a medium heat stir through until the raspberries have released juices but not completely dissolved. Then take off the heat and set aside for later.

  5. In a small saucepan throw in the butter, on a medium to high heat then place in the eggy bread. Depending on your hob, check underneath it to see if it’s browned probably about half a minute! When it has browned turn it over and brown the other side. Lift out and wrap in tin foil, place in the oven to keep warm. Then do the same with the other pieces of bread.
  6. Cut the bread into triangles and spoon on the berries. I made an additional double cream with icing sugar and vanilla extract too! Dust the plate with icing sugar and tuck in! Enjoy x

If using commercially produced brioche, be sure to allow bread to become slightly stale for best results. Stir in sugar, vanilla, orange juice, and salt until well combined. Dip bread in egg mixture and lay in butter. (not you-the bread!). Place a wire rack on a baking sheet, and set aside. Reheat leftovers by toasting them in a skillet with butter or giving them a zap in the microwave for about a minute.
