The ingredients needed to make Butter Chicken:
  1. Prepare 1 small onion, chopped
  2. Get 1 canned tomatoes
  3. Prepare 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  4. Make ready 50 g cashew nuts

  6. Get 100 ml water
  7. Take 200 ml heavy cream
  8. Take 400 g chicken breast, skinless, boneless
  9. Get Marinade
  10. Make ready 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  11. Prepare 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  12. Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  13. Take 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  14. Make ready 1/2 tsp garlic
  15. Prepare 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  16. Take 1/2 tsp salt
  17. Make ready 1/2 tsp garam masala
  18. Make ready 100 g Greek yoghurt
  19. Take Sauce
  20. Prepare 1/2 tsp garlic
  21. Make ready 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  22. Get 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  23. Prepare 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  24. Prepare 1/2 tsp garam masala
  25. Prepare 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  26. Take 1/2 tsp paprika powder
  27. Make ready 1/2 tsp chilli powder
Steps to make Butter Chicken:
  1. Cut chicken breasts into small cubes. Combine marinade and spread over chicken in a bowl or ziploc bag. Refrigerate and let rest for 30 minutes to overnight.
  2. Blend/process the cashew nuts and stir fry the onion until translucent.
  3. To make the sauce, combine sauce spices, stir-fried onion, cashew powder and 20g of butter in a pot, and let simmer over low heat until fragrant.
  4. Once fragrant, add canned tomatoes and water and mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Stir fry the chicken breast (along with the marinade) with another 20g of butter in a frying pan on medium heat. You only need to sear the chicken, it doesn’t need to be fully cooked.
  6. Combine sauce and chicken and let simmer on low heat until cooked, about 20-30 minutes.
  7. Add 200ml of heavy cream and 20g butter and mix. Optionally, add 1 tsp sugar to sweeten the butter chicken.
