In a large bowl, stir together the flour, salt, sugar, yeast, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, basil and black pepper. Mix in the vegetable oil and water. Liberally sprinkle the top of the focaccia with some coarse sea salt and lightly drizzle a little oil on top. Focaccia is easy to make even if you've never made bread before! Just press the dough into a pizza pan or baking sheet and let it rise once–no second rising and no loaves to form. To make focaccia, remove half the dough from the bowl (leave the rest for another time) and place on a lightly floured surface. Place the chopped rosemary on top of the dough, then very gently.

Steps to make Focaccia bread:
  1. In a bowl take milk put sugar and mix well until sugar dissolves after that add yeast and keep aside for 10 min it’s become frothy.
  2. After frothy now add herb, 1 tbsp olive oil and salt, stir well. - Add in flour using a wooden spoon, mix everything well until there are no lumps and knead into a soft dough.
  3. Spread some olive oil on 8*8 inch tin and place the dough on top of the pan and let the dough slowly fall by itself into it. With oily hands, gently stretch the dough to fit the pan.
  4. Cover bowl with cling film and rest dough for 30 minutes or till dough is double in size. - With oily hands, gently make random indentations on the dough.
  5. 1 tbsp olive oil drizzle on top of the dough. Place chopped pepper and olive on the top. Lastly sprinkle some dry oregano and sea salt and chilli flakes.
  6. Bake in preheated one at 200 Celsius for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked.
  7. Cool the focaccia on a rack for 30 minutes. Slice and enjoy as is or cut in half and make sandwiches out of it.
